Ironman 70.3 Astana 2022
My first, and hopefully one of many!
I can’t express the number of times I have tried to re-live the feeling that I experienced in the last few moments of the race – the ebullience I felt, the cheer it brought me cannot be explained in words.
In the last 20 seconds of the race, I was able to relive the last month (which is all the time I had for training as I was down with Covid) and my mind was full of flashbacks and memories of the wonderful time I had towards training and I felt proud of myself for not giving up on the tough and challenging period.
The euphoria of having finished the race, giving high fives to spectators on my way to the finish line as they cheered me on – this moment will live on with me forever.
