Kazakhstan Visa
Applications need to meet a number of Kazakhstan online visa requirements to be able to successfully complete the application.
Kazakhstan eVisa
The Kazakhstan Online Visa has been made available from the 1st of January 2019. Eligible citizens from 17 countries can obtain the eVisa online by receiving an invitation from Kazakhstan side and completing the application form.
Once an application has been completed and approved, the Kazakhstan eVisa will be sent to the applicant by email. It will then be possible to enter Kazakhstan by presenting the eVisa, along with the corresponding passport, at the Kazakhstan border – only at the international airports of Astana and Almaty.
The Kazakhstan eVisa requirements include:
- Passport ( at least two blank pages and expire no earlier than 3 moths after the expiry date of the requested visa) ;
- Number of invitation letter ;
- Credit card ;
The process :
- Register on the e-visa website ;
- Fill in the visa application form and the invitation number you got from the letter of invitation send to you ;
- Pay the consular fee ;
- Print the e-visa after you got the confirmation e-mail ;
- Present the printer e-visa when passing through passport control at the airport in Astana and Almaty ;
Visa types :
Single entry
- Valid for : 90 days
- Period of say within those 90 days : 30 days
- Number of entries : 1
- Cost : 20-50 $
Multiple entry
- Valid for : 90 days
- Period of stay : 30 days maximum for each entry
- Number of entries : unlimited
- Cost : 200 $
Kazakhstan Transit Visa
It can be single or multiple-entry.
The price for it is 10-20 $. When applying for a transit visa at he Kazakh embassy or consulate, you will need to show prof of all your travel documents such as a visa, train ticket, plane tickets beside the other visa requirements (see advise).
Registration
As new rule started in 2020, a traveler does not need to fill in registration cards anymore. The responsibility lies with your host, who hast to register you within 3 days on the e-gov platform. Registration is free but if a host fails to register you in time, a fine might await them.
