Itinerary: Tashkent – Kokand – Rishtan – Fergana – Margilan – Tashkent
Welcome to the picturesque and fertile Fergana Valley! The Golden Valley is surrounded by the Tien Shan and Gissaro Alay mountains. On this tour you will get acquainted with the history and culture of this unique area. The famous medieval astronomer Ahmed al-Fergani and Zahiriddin Bobur, the founder of the Great Mughal Empire, were born here. After experiencing the wonders of Fergana and the palace of the Kokand Khan, you will travel on to Margilan and have the opportunity to witness the production of silk fabric.
Itinéraire:
Transfer to Southern railway station of Tashkent. Train « Uzbekistan, » leaves Tashkent at 08:05 Arrival in Kokand at 12:13.
At Kokanda railway station meet your guide and driver. The beginning of the city tour. You will visit Hudoyar Khan Palace, Jami Mosque, Kamol Kazi madrasah and madrasah of Norbut Biy. The main attraction of Kokand – the pearl of the city – the palace of Khudoyar Khan, built under the leadership of the famous architect Mir Ubaidullo in 1871. The best masters from the Fergana Valley took part in the construction and finishing of this building. Now it is also a museum of local history. Its artifacts will open for you new interesting facts about Uzbekistan history which will inspire you to learn more.
After lunch, a trip to Rishtan and a visit to the workshop of Rishtan ceramists. Next you will travel on to Fergana. Upon arrival in the city accommodation in the hotel. Free time, overnight stay in the hotel.
Breakfast at the hotel. Today you will continue to explore Fergana Valley. Sightseeing of Fergana followed by a trip to Margilan. This town is famous for artisans and the silk fabrics they produce: ikat, han atlas, bekasam. Visit silk fabric workshops. Excursion in Margilan: Chakar Mosque Complex, Said Ahmad Hoji madrasah (19 century). Return to Tashkent via Kamchik mountain pass. Arrival in Tashkent.
