About the tour:
In just 8 days cycle from Tashkent to legendary cities of Bukhara, Shahrisabz and Samarkand, passing through rural areas and picturesque landscapes. This program will certainly be interesting to everyone who would like to combine cycling with excursions in ancient cities and experience the charm of the country up close. The bike route goes through areas combining mountain ranges and arid flat landscapes of the Kyzylkum desert.
This dynamic tour with 5-7 hour rides and a distance of 350 km on different road surfaces, will take you through mountain chains, isolated oases, deserts and steppes. On the way you will meet friendly local people and find out about customs and traditions of Uzbekistan. Everyone can take part in cycling, but you need to have good physical fitness and experience in long-distance cycling. On average, you will travel no more than 70 km per day. However, the program can be adapted to your physical capabilities and local conditions. Accompanied by a professional guide, you will learn a lot about the history of the legendary cities of the great Silk Road, Bukhara and Samarkand. You will discover the various landscapes of the Kyzylkum desert and the Nurata mountains, visit one of the most populated areas of Central Asia, become acquainted with the region of beautiful nature.
Itinéraire:
Transfer from Tashkent by bus through Djizak and Yangikishlak to the village of Osmonsoy (200 km, 4 h). Lunch on the way. The starting point is the village of Osmonsoy, from where after lunch we will start our bike tour (60 km). The route runs through the mountainous area and villages: Ilonchi and Miskin. Rise to the village of Sentob (1050 m). Accommodation in a guest house. Walk in the village. Life in Sentob is very simple, here you can enjoy silence and peace and take a break from the city bustle. Relax your mind and recharge your body energy, observe beautiful landscapes and communicate to local Tadjik people, who have lived for centuries close to nature.
Road: asphalt, earth-road, off-road, asphalt, earth-road.
Bus transfer to Temirkovuk (45 km). Bike ride to the yurt camp near Lake Aydarkul (70 km) for one night in the middle of the desert steppe. Accommodation in yurts. Camel riding, rest and lunch on the shore of Aydarkul Lake. Dinner. Enjoy the evening near the fire under bright stars listening to songs of Kazakh musician. Overnight in a yurt.
Note: Yurt camp consists of 14 yurts, 4-6 people can spend the night in one yurt. The yurt has all the bedding.

Bike ride to Nurata (70km). Arrival in Nurata and visit the local mosque, pond with sacred fish, ancient fortress and traditional embroidery house. Lunch – kebabs (tandir kabob) in a Chaihana (Tea house). After lunch take the bus to Sarmish (80km). On the way – an excursion to cave drawings (more than 3,500 cave drawings, which are 4-6 thousand years old). Dinner and overnight at the tent camp.

Bike ride to Gishti through local villages (75 km). Lunch on the way. Moving by car to Bukhara via Gijduvan (80km). Visit local national house to see the production of traditional ceramics. Arrival in Bukhara. Hotel accommodation.

City tour with a guide. Bukhara the divine! It is one of the oldest cities of Central Asia the age of which reaches 2,500 years. This city has been a spiritual and commercial center and its importance does not decline over the centuries. « Bukhoroi – Sharif » – « Noble and Sacred Bukhara » – is one of the numerous epithets that this ancient city was awarded. Here you can fully feel the charming atmosphere of the East!
Visit the central part of the city: complex of Poikalon (XII—XVI c), architectural ensemble of “Masjidi Kalon”, “Miri Arab” madrasah and minaret (46 m). Ulugbek Madrasah (1417) was the earliest of three commissioned by the enlightened Timurid ruler. Abdulaziz Khan Madrasah (1652). Trading Domes including Toki Zargaron, Toki Telpak Furushon and Toki Saraffon. Tim of Abdullakhan (1577) and one of the most elegant trade halls. Overnight at hotel of Bukhara.
Transfer by car: Bukhara – Shahrisabz (275 km, 5 h). Lunch. Half a day – excursion in Shahrisabz. Overnight in Shahrisabz.
Bike ride: Shahrisabz – climb to the Takhtakarach pass (1788 m), continuation of the tour to Samarkand (30-75 km, 2-4 h). Lunch on the way. Hotel accommodation. Overnight at hotel of Samarkand.
City tour with a guide. Once, Samarkand was a glorious capital of the Timurid Empire. You will see Ulugbek Observatory (15th century), Afrosiab Museum and necropolis of Shahi Zinda (13th-15th century), famous Registan Square (Ulugbek madrasah 15th century, Sherdor and Tila Kori 17th century). Lunch in a national house. Transfer to the railway station at 16:00, at 17:00 departure to Tashkent by high-speed train. Arrival in Tashkent at 19:10. Transfer to hotel or airport.

- Accommodation in guest houses and tent camps (breakfast included) during the bike route.
- Railway tickets for train Samarkand – Tashkent in economy class.

- For a group of more than 14 people 1 person (tour leader) will be offered free accommodation in a twin room, food, transport and entrance tickets.
