To make your horse ride safe and enjoyable please follow the recommendations: it is important to choose suitable clothes and shoes. You can choose tight trousers or bridges made of breathable fabric and a light jacket. Be sure to put a helmet on your head, it will protect your head.
It is better to choose shoes from natural material that minimize sweating. Fasteners are not welcome, as they can cling to equipment and distract you. We recommend wearing gloves –they will protect your hands and provide a good grip on the reins.
It is important to choose the “right” horse. As a rule beginners are offered calm and balanced animals, but in any case you should establish contact and suppress fear in yourself, if there is one. So before the first trip, communicate with your new horse, get used to him and let him get used to you.
It is important to follow basic safety rules. When you are near a horse don’t make loud sounds and make sharp movements. Also, you should not approach a horse from behind; it can get frightened and kick
Horse riding in Uzbekistan
The itenrary of a life time
May 2022 • Friends
Elbek at Marakanda travel provided me and my younger brother with an amazing 12-day trip in Uzbekistan!
We had a fantastic time exploring the cities of Tashkent, Bukhara and Samarkand as well as a 5 day horse riding adventure in the Nurata mountains and a stay in a Yurt next to Aydarkul Lake. At each step of the way it was smoothly run with drivers there to pick us up from every train station/airport and local guides to show us around.
Communication was very easy with Elbek always replying promptly. It meant a big weight of the holiday was off our shoulders and we could just enjoy ourselves!
The highlight was the horse riding trip which was a well-planned itenrary exploring different villages, different parts of the mountains as well as riding on the steppes.
I would really recommend Marakanda travel as a professional company to make a tailored programme for what you want to do in Uzbekistan, there is so much to offer. Once I gave my dates and what I wanted to do, a full itenrary was brought back to me!
